I am getting ready to have my rear end narrowed and I want to go ahead and order the axles. What is the stock axle length for a 10 bolt rear end ('05 Silverado)?
I had to pull one of my axles a couple of weeks ago due to a stuck lug nut and when doing so I forgot to measure the axle length. I know moser makes axles but whom else does? and how long does it normally take to receive them? I have heard they run about $350.

moser and Dutchman are the best places to order. All you have to tell them is how much shorten the shafts.

to answer your question though, stock axle shafts are 33 9/16" long.

Just ordered mine. Machined for abs and shortened with studs they were 380$ shipped

And like he said all they need to know is how much you narrowed, rear type, brake type, abs or not, and spline count

Are 10 bolts 28 or 30 spline?

30 spline. If you tell them year, make, and model, they will know what you need. don't waste time filling out the the spec sheet. just call moser and talk to someone.
