Let me know if this isn't the right place to post.

I have a G80 10 bolt, 3.73 gears, and 33s with 16" aluminum wheels. I'm swapping in a stock rebuilt LQ9 and a built 4L60.

Under conservative throttle and pulling a 24' tandem axle trailer a few times a month, do I need to go to a 12 or 14 bolt?

I just don't want to be replacing bearings and races every year.

Truck is a 2002 1500 with a BlackBear tune if anyone is curious.

Well more info would be better like the weight you are towing. If you are pulling an empty trailer like you made it seem you should be fine.

Okay good point.

think duck/deer season. Usually a Polaris 900 three seater and one or two rubicon 500s.

add 3-5 people in the truck, plus coolers and other nonsense you bring with you in the bed.

^^^ this. As long as the fluid is still good in the rear axle, I wouldn’t worry about it unless you’re giving it the sauce every chance you get. The 4L60E is more likely to go out before the rear dies.
