Bought it last Tuesday because my transmission decided to take a shit in my lifted 14 then it wasn't covered under warranty. Long story short I said screw it and bought a 15 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD CCSB Z71 LT Duramax. Best decision I've made.

Plans are go full cen-cal with this truck. I don't want to go big or anything, thinking 7" FTS, 22x14 AF or new Fuel Forged and 325-50/22 Nitto Trail. Lots of things in mind and want help.


Plans....

FTS or Cognito 7-9" full powder
22x14 American Force or Fuel Forged
325-50/22 Nitto Trail or 35x12.5-22 Toyo Open Country M/T
Full Colormatch and partial trim or the front bumper lower plastic
Headlights cleared and partially painted. No colorchanging shit
LED everything, thinking from Automotive Light Source for headlights,etc...
PPE front diff cover, rear cover and transmission pan. Powdercoated.
Billet antenna, grill, etc....
Believe that's it for exterior.... Anymore ideas list them, up for all suggestions


Performance, Full deleted.

5" stainless exhaust into 7" chrome diesel stack dumped (maybe out of the side), no muffler or anything.

EGR delete
Cold air, maybe S&B
FASS 150

Would go ahead and order this but apparently nothing is out for mine. Contacted ChucksDP and with the pictures I provided, he said nothing is out for my design yet where I have a later model 15.

For the powdercoat I was really like this color....This green and silver for powder everywhere. Also love the look of what Showoff and FTS did on their 2500 (Includes Kellys badass truck), who originally gave me inspiration.

Daily driving my transmission temperature was running like 250-300 degrees. I did have stock gears where nothing was out yet which was a bummer. It got to the point where it wouldn't shift, when it did it would jerk extremely hard, slipped terribly and so on. I really feel like somehow the cooler malfunctioned which caused this but I was tuned along with other things.

I was thinking the same thing, but mine is a Denali so dont know if thats why it looks different.

Thanks guys for the compliments. Up for all suggestions as well since this build will probably take 1-2 year time frame I'm thinking. Doing all the little, cheap, and easy stuff first.


Mostly debadged. Keep the DURAMAX/ALLISON badges or no? Also what do you guys think about the Z71, remove it? Lastly pin striping, will that just come off with my 3M eraser wheel? Pics....

I was originally going to get this all colormatched for the last truck but didn't work out so going to get the tailgate handle sent off to get matched.

I broke even with what I owed. Sucks because I had so much into it but oh well, time for newer, stronger and a 10x better of a truck.

You'll love the ppei tune. Just got mine done with an s&b intake, air dog lift pump, 4" exhaust. Woke the truck up something fierce. Even on 35"s it hauls ass.

Automotivelightstore (oracle) LED fog lights, ones that require the LED driver.

Billet Bowtie

10" Light bar to go in between the bumper slot

Automotivelightstore High Power LED reverse lights, Cargo Lights, license plate bulbs.

Ordering S&B Cold Air as soon as its released/ available or something like that. Guess they aren't out yet for mine way Paul at LATUNING was talking.


Everything is supposed to be here by next weekend then its time for the install/pics.

Paul at LATUNING/PPEI was amazing at customer service. Everything was very professional and he didn't try to bullshit with me at all about stuff I didn't need. I highly recommend him for any tuning needs for anything.

Honestly man I used to think almost the same thing where all I used to do was offroad before I joined the military. Now to me this is an expensive ass truck and it wont see any dirt at all unless its a gravel driveway or something like that for the exception of work. I have to park in a dirt parking lot. I just want it to be clean and functional while looking good.
