Run the vin and you'll decode what the truck is.
A 1500 is a 1/2 ton truck, a 2500 is a 3/4 ton truck...as noted the main difference is drivetrain and chassis. LS, LT, etc are all interior packages...aka leather, heated seats, cloth, buckets, bench, etc, etc, etc...
