do people do this is it safe? can u get a 16.5 tire put on a 17 in rim?

don't do it....first off 16.5 rims don't have much of a safety lip and then puttin it on a 17, if that is even possible, is asking to total your truck
16.5's dont have much of a lip but if u use a 16.5 tire on a 16.5 rim you dont have to worry about anything unless you air down too low....you would have to be crazy to put a 16.5 tire on a 17" rim :imo
16.5" wheels and tires are becoming obsolete anyways.

not really...lifted truck wise, 16.5 has alot of tire options. Pretty frustrating when they carry a 16.5 but no 16

well it went from 15 and 16's then 16.5's and now people are starting to buy bigger wheels...17's+ but yah theres still alot of 16.5
