Hey guys, im looking for my first fixer upper to work on as a hobby(im only 18). Ive been looking at a 1979 gmc k1500 pickup. It's only $1350 canadian and all i know about it is that its a 4x4, new rims w/ bfg a/t's, "full tune up done this march" and "needs mufler to cert" its a single cab long box, and the body seems to be in alright shape from the picture, but you never know. I want it for a offroad beater and for really snowy days. I plan on working on it alot and fixing it up if i get it (im taking an automotive course in college so i will know my way around a car a bit better soon). Do you guys know of anything i should look out for wiht these trucks or any suggestions on things i should look for when i look at it in person? Any suggestions would be much appreatiated!
