I've got a 99 tahoe. 2 door 2wd. 193k miles now with the vortec 350. 3.42 locking rear end (g80). Currently with 4 inch lift spindles up front and stock in the rear. Have 1.5 inch spacers in the rear and 5/16th in spacers up front. Sitting on 33/12.5/15 Nitto trail grappler m/ts. Just picked up some 15x10s and and going to remove the lift before long and then lower the back down to level it with the front. Current pics

The lift has been removed. But no pics yet. Also got my rotors tuned while I had her up in the air when changing the spindles out. Stopping is much smoother now. Brake peddle is still a little soft though. I think I may need to check the adjusters in the rear and bleed the system. Every I can't get a stiffer peddle

Been building this recently. Trying to clean up the cargo area and make it a little more usable. This is how far I've gotten on it.

Those are 2x12 boards and thin plexy glass. I have to get some 2x2s and some marine plywood to finish the top. I'm going to look for some tan indoor outdoor carpet to go on top of it. Just to make it look somewhat factory if you look in through the windows.

Not really going backwards just going a different route. It's my daily, and I'd much rather have good fuel economy over lifted with mud tires. Especially since I'm on the interstate everyday.

I like it just as much this way. But I do miss being lifted.

4x4 goes up and 4x2 goes down. Dig the look man. The wheels are kinda 90s but hey so is the truck. Long tubes, big cam, and you'll have a nice street cruiser/bruiser.

Mine is 4 wd and if i could lower mine i would. I just think the 2 door models look better lowered.

Bigger trucks look good lifted. I will post pics of mine once i figure out how. Mine is dark blue with navy blue velour seats.

Love it in white!!!!! Bad looking ride bro.

Thanks. You can lower yours. Get dome drop keys and what ever you'd need for the rear.

Ok so enlighten me. Drop keys?? My last ride, a 95 astro was lowered, I had bell tech drop spindles up front and a flip kit for the leaf springs out back. Dropped it 3 in up front and a couple out back too.


Please elaborate.

You dropped one. :crazy: So far I've dropped the 1990 F150 and the 2005 Ram. Both have been good street prowlers.
