its been doing it for a while now but its now gotten to the point where its getting on my nerves. the hvac blower motor surges when on levels 3 and above. it does it real bad if i have it on the floorboard setting and i was just wondering if anyone has any experience with this. im not sure if its the resistor or the motor. just looking for what could be causing this. ive recently replaced the cabin filters and its still doing it. also ive noticed that even on its highest setting its not blowing as hard as i think it should be.

Your blower motors bearing is probably seizing and needs replacement soon, the blower motor is 15 years old if it's the original

I recommend replacing the blower motor

i just need to go ahead and pull the dash down and see whats causing it. i read somewhere on the net that the squirrel cage might be stopped up as well.

Yes that's possible too, I had that happen, it kept getting stuck against the side and squealing cuz the bearing in my mine was almost completely gone it moved in ways that bearings aren't supposed to move
