I am looking to swap the front bumper/cover from my 2002 GMC 35000 to the 2003-2006 style. I personally like the round fog lights and that style bumper. I did not find a write-up on here, if someone can find it and post it, that would be great. If not, does anyone know what is involved? Cost and time, I would like to stay with OEM parts. Not sure if I need to swap out the header either.

This has been covered a few different times. You need to swap frame horns from the 99-02 style to the 03-06 style. I'd personally change the grille if I were at it as well.

Thanks, I found several write ups on Chevy but not GMC. I would think it would be a straight forward swap? Bumper and cover, why would the frame hornes need to be swapped, because of the height? Just curious if it's worth the effort.

The 03+ horns are different, but they swap out easily. Just cut off the old ones and bolt on a new set. Just do a google search, lots of people have done this swap.

And you need to go ahead and do the 03+ grille too. :imo

I never noticed the detailed difference in grilles till just now. Had to look it up lol. Always had chevys.
small difference, don't think it would matter if the grille was custom tho would it ?

I mean if you had a billet grille then yea they'd be the same but stock for stock the 03-06 look way better imo
