Anyone know if the front rotors have changed in size/design in the last few years?

Reason I ask is a friend and I recently installed a set of Springtech 4" lift spindles on his 2006 Silverado 1500 2wd. He has had this mysterious squeak ever since that sounds like the pad warning tabs are beginning to sound. After comparing to a stock 2006 Silverado 2wd we noticed a big difference in clearance between the caliper and center of the rotor. What I mean is the brake pad is actually rubbing/wearing on the "rough" part of the middle area of the rotor.

We could be way off but can't figure out anything else and haven't heard back from Sprintech support yet. The reason I wondering about year model difference is when I ordered the spindles they were labeled to be for 2005-UP. After contacting Springtech and them telling me that 2006 would be no problem, I ordered them.

It's always fun to try to describe these odd issue's uh?

The rotors are bigger on the '06 models. I'm not sure when they did it, but I think it was '06.
