OK, I just bought a 2012 Silverado 4x4 that came with a 4" readylift kit (link below) and the ride is horrible. The truck has 305/55/R20 tire/wheels on it. From doing my research on these kits, I'm seeing people saying they keep there factory ride. Also, a buddy of mine put a similar kit on from trail master and his rides great. The kits look almost identical. I'm just wondering what could be the difference ? His truck is the same truck, just 18" wheels to where mine are 20". What could be different ?

Kit I have installed:

Kit my buddy has installed:

Ok, now I'm thinking I need to just put in a new lift kit as well as tires. Any suggestions ? Ive looked at the Rough Country 5" for $1000. Reasonable price I think and looks like it has new spindles for the lift and drops the spring instead of pushing it up. Thoughts ?

I want to stay with a 33" tire. 35" tire I would need to re-gear Im sure and would be hell for my kids to get in to it.

RCX 5" and Zone 4.5" or 6.5" are great choices and economical as well
