Long story short...
Looking to upgrade due to farming and rooming needs.
Dmax not an option do not have the extra $8K for that.
Our local dealership offers lifetime powertrain warranty on gas trucks so I am looking at 6.0 CC. I understand the loss in gas mileage between 5.3, 6.0 and Dmax but with a lifetime warranty on axles, rearend, engine, transfer case and transmission its impossible not to lean even more toward the 6.0.
I drove one today and absolutely loved it. Compared to my 2012 it is no comparison.

My questions to you guys are...
what kind of reviews have you heard on 2015?
What kind of new options have seen and liked (and not liked)?
Pros/Cons..etc.

I have a list of options that I will not live without and some I want really bad but can live without. I have a friend who is a salesman at dealership and helps us out pretty well so i plan on giving him a list and saying "find it". But wanted to hear some possible real world options and opinions on the new trucks. I would be looking at late Dec/Jan of buying.

List I have so far...

Have to have:
CC
4wd
fogs
Cab lights
Park Assist
Rear Cargo light (i think they call it provision light now)
Rear Back up cam
LT Convenience Package
Tow Package

Want but can live without:
Tows, can get later
Hill Descend options would be great
Z71

Has to be Black or Tungsten. Drove the white was actually pretty sharp.

HD's only come with the 6.0

Never heard of recent "lifetime warranty on drive trane" - if the truck is offered with a 20% discount off sticker and a lifetime warranty just BUY IT - or I will or would

new 2015's do NOT have all the options that were included in former option packages ... LS LT LTZ WT - so you have to actually look at each truck to see what package it has and what is added as well

try building a few to see which options are in each package

sierra or silverado?

check out Laura GMC if you want a Sierra. Worth flying in and driving it back. Their pricing is untouchable.

We love our DenaliHD. Hands down best GM product we have owned...

Yeah I have built several on website
I am aware of new vs old options available. Also aware 3/4 tons come in 6.0 and dmax but might been confusing how i typed it.

Sometimes a dealer will offer this, but there are usually a lot of conditions on bringing the vehicle back to that dealer for various services in order to maintain the warranty.
Correct. The 3 local dealers offer lifetime warranties on power train. The stipulation is must have maintenance at a Chevy dealership anywhere in US. It's pretty sweet.
