I have probably what is a silly question for you guys, but have to ask.

I was looking at a 2015 Silverado 1500 and I see that there is a plastic protector piece on the fenders to the rear of the front and rear tires where mud flaps are attached. So for those that are familiar with the 2015 Silverados, If mud flaps are put on the truck are those pieces of protective plastic removed to install mud flaps or are there mud flaps that are molded to custom fit over the plastic protector piece on the fender or are mud flaps just put over it (seems like it would be a big bump in the mud flap and not look good if the mud flap is put over the top of it)?

Hope that makes sense. Thanks for any input on this!

Thanks for the reply Livewire69! That's helpful! Are weather tech mud flaps made from a rigid/hard plastic?
