the 275 would fit the 9" wheel better. I'm running a 265 on my 8.5", and it looks sweet. Do you know for sure that these wheels will tuck? I thought nbs needed 6" or more of b.s. to tuck on a 9" wheel.

these numbers aren't exact, but they're pretty damn close:

a stock wheel and tire combo is 30.2in x 10.1in and sticks out 3.8 inches from the hub mounting surface.

a 20x9 wheel with 5.5 inches of BS wrapped in 275/35/20 rubber is 27.6 x 10.7in and sticks out 4.85 inches from the hub mounting surface.

in other words, the new combo will stick out about an inch past your current stock setup....... likely not to work with a 4-6 drop.

so i got to go with a smaller tire like 255/35/20

still not likely. 255 is only 10mm smaller per side than a 275. that's less than half an inch, not to mention that a 255/35 is only 10 inches wide as is the wheel itself. the rim might actually stick out past the tire just a bit...... i'm not saying it's not possible(anything's possible), but i wouldn't do it.

back spacing...

you can get some more clearance if you roll the rear fenders...

I'm running a 240/40 and a 295/40 and i'm a bit lower than a 4/6 drop  Its all about correct backspacing. I personally would never run another set of wheels and tires that stick out that far again though. My paint is all messed up b/c of the crap my tires would kick up.

Thanks , It does rub a lil .. but only when I put weight in the back of the truck , I just have to get my lazy ass out there and do some trimming of the wheel well ..

a 275 will look and work a whole lot better than your 245's... no doubt... and they should get better traction!
