Alright so it's time for me to finally contribute to this forum after many times of using it for good advice and info. I finally lifted my truck 5 months back and decided on the 4 inch Rancho for my 2011 crew cab z71 1500. I'm still running the stock rims and tires.. eventually upgrading to 33's once I make a decision on the rims and tires (another discussion I need opinions on). Here is what I can provide from questions I find that are always asked with this lift..

- The total lift height is well over 4 inches. It's been over 5 months and the lift has not settled or lowered at all and I have measured/compared the before and after many times. Overall it gave me about a 6 inch lift in the front and about a 5 inch lift in the back. When I line it up next to a stock truck, it sits 6 inches higher from the mirrors and even the tip of the cab.

- My stock 18inch rims and tires fit with no problem other then a screech with just about every turn (the lift is made for 33's) I plan to use the stocks for winter which seems to be no issue other than that.

- The truck is pretty level for the most part. Sometimes the front looks slightly lower but its barely noticeable.

- The ride is almost no better than stock to me (but I went the cheaper route with the 5100 shocks).

Overall I'm VERY happy with the lift. The shop that installed said they were VERY impressed with the quality and design of this Rancho lift compared to all others. They were also very impressed with Rancho's customer/tech service.. somehow a part or two was the wrong size and rancho was very happy to overnight the correct part even though it was determined that it was most likely the dealer's fault (not Rancho).

Let me know what you guys think. I actually don't think the stock wheels look too bad but my next move is 33's with offset black (with some chrome) deep dish wheels. I'm looking for opinions and correct sizes. I'd like all 4 to stick out a few inches. Any questions I'll do my best to answer! (I'll try and get better after pics with more of a distance later)

That is not even a fair comparison! You cleaned the truck before you took the after pics!

Looks good! Some rear spacers and tires and you will be all set.

Can I ask what a shop charges to put lift on? I think it will look alot better when you get bigger tires with more offset.

The shop around here charges $750 to install a suspension lift.

Looks good, I'd remove the front lower valance and want to lower the back down a bit but that's just me. Those rims look great wrapped in a 295/70/18 nitto trail grappler with some spacers but I can understand if you want something with some dish instead.

X2 on valence removal.
33s will look right at home under there too, should look real good. What wheels are you thinking of ? Novokanes would be nice IMO

if you did it yourself, thats $750 you could have put towards 33's or 35's
Dats 2 tarz Dan

OP it'll look good with new shoes. I do have to agree with Dan and say you coulda done it yourself and saved the change, but it's over now and looks pretty good.

It ended up being around $940 I believe.. :X

Pretty ridiculous and I do regret going that route because I do have friends that could have helped get it done but that would have involved a longer turn around and I wanted it done fast and done right the first time and be able to bring it back at any point and get it looked at if anything goes wrong.. it was just more convenient at the time

I was actually thinking of adding a 1.5 inch leveling kit, I thought I saw some guys on here that added that with this lift. I like the stock rims a lot but I need something to switch out for winter because I don't want the salt kicking up on the body from the tires sticking out. I was thinking maybe something like this.. but I have no idea what sizes I would need

I love the look of the tires sticking out and I don't like fender flares so I'll deal with the kick ups but not in the winter.. NY salts the crap out of these roads 7 months out of the year. After seeing pictures of those rims on some trucks I wasn't too crazy about them anymore. I'm really looking for a nice deep dish rim with mostly black but little chrome/silver.. these aren't too bad for the all black look..
