When my truck shifts into OD, it makes a slight grinding noise and feels like it is binding when decelerating.. Could this be a converter???

Is it when the converter locks up or just when it shifts into OD?

So it grinds as it shift or grinds in OD after it shifts? Have you checked the fluid for particulates? It would seem a torque converter problem would manifest all the time and not just in OD.

Converter issues are typically shuddering.

Exactly, From what you are saying, it is not a converter issue. As big green also said, a converter problem will be almost all of the time in every gear.

I think you guys are right.. It is not the converter. I am going to pull the trans tomorrow and take it into a shop and have them check it out. I will post back the findings.
