so i burnt up my clutch pack again in my 60e and i have a 4l80e waiting to be thrown in my truck. i was hoping to complete this in the next few days sooooo what can i do instead of tuning the computer to make this 80e shift for the time being?
would a computer from a c or k 2500 with a 5.7 work?
or i feel like i read about a 3500 chevy van had a stand alone computer? what year if that is true?

the 80e is shift on the floor so that why i was wondering if i could use a computer from the c2500...

my truck is a 1997 1500 5.7 4l60e
Help me PLEASE!!

not quite sure about a 97 but on my 02 when i did the 80e swap it could be driven but the trans was in limp mode, would only start in 2nd gear. mine is a 2wd too, but if you could get a pcm from a 2500 that had a 5.7/80e it should work. did you wire in the extra speed sensor that the 80e has?
