2006 silverado 1/2 ton. 5.3 litre, 4l60, trans case with auto 4wd option.

I tried to lock my truck into 4lo the other day and all I can hear is a clicking/clunking noise under the truck, then it just goes back to 2hi or 4 hi, whatever I was already n. like I said, the 4 hi seems to be working fine... any leads would be greatly appreciated. thanks

not that it matters I dont think, but it has a 6" zone lift, 4.56 gears, and bully dog programmer

okay ravine, what is the difference n the encoder motor and encoder ring??? the ring is WAY cheaper but I assume its the motor!! lol

Ring is just part of the complete encoder assembly.

Not sure how you're doing it, but rolling at 2-3mph, in neutral, I've had nothing but good shifts. The few times I deviated, it would refuse to shift.
