Guys I'm wondering if I can add a 3inch body lift to my already lifted RCD 6inch lift? If so is there anything additional I need to do? Will I need to extend any lines or anything else? this on a 04 2500hd Silverado 8.1

Im not familiar with the RCD lifts but you shouldn't run into any problems. Everything you'll need will come in the bl kit.

You cannot run a 3" Body lift on a 2500HD. Reason being, as it looks terrible, shows basically the entire frame rail. You have a 2500HD, with a 6" lift. What wheel/tire setup you trying to run? Tons of people have 35-37" tires with x 9 & x 10 wheels with just lift.

yeah do NOT add a 3" body lift to a 2500hd. 2500's already have a factory 2" body lift as it is.

for example, look at how far down the frame hangs on this truck. just plain ugly. i couldn't even stand it on my tahoe where most of it was hidden so i took mine off.

Another 3" BL'd HD here too.....

If you want/need the extra height... Go for it. Keep the frame clean and painted. Install proper gap guards. Raise your bumpers accordingly. And the use of steps tend to help "hide" the BL. NFabs work the best to accomplish this.

Sure, would my truck look "cleaner" without it?!? Yeah. But, I had the 3" BL first before I had money for my Cognito. Once I installed the Cognito I'd planned on removing the BL. But, I fell in love with the height and ride quality I had completely decranked.

And, to clarify... HDs don't have "a factory 2" BL". The frame is 2" taller and body mounts are higher on the frame to account for the taller Allison trans. used in Dmax/8.1 pickups.

maybe get a 2" body lift instead? hide the frame a little better and might give you the clearance you need

That truck hasn't even seen a gravel parking lot.

It's been down a gravel road before (Slowly). Anything else? I don't get it dirty if I can't help it.

I vote for 1.5". Like everyone has said it will show a lot of frame. But if you want the 3" go for it and like big blue hd says get some nfabs
