New B&M shifter installed by mechanic but the crank safety and backup lights not connected. Mechanic is disabled now so, I need to find and hookup.
Appreciate help in locating those wires under the dash/column believe it's the purple and green wires?

Locate the switch on the lower column:

DK Blue: backup lamp power from fuse panel
Lt Green: switched wire to the backup lamps

Org/Blk: park neutral to ECM
Blk/Wht: park neutral input to switch

You need all the wires if you are installing a floor shifter for the lamps and NSS to work. I assume your shifter has two switches, right? Move the backup lamp wires to one switch (polarity doesn't matter) and do the same with the neutral safety with the other switch. The org/black is the signal going to the ECM, so if your new neutral safety switch is a single terminal ground, then hook the org/black to it. The black and white wire is a ground wire.

I was able to locate the wires and route to the b&m shifter switches.
But, when connected the back up lamp stays lit regardless of the gear selection...
And, still cranks in any gear...
Hoping someone else has run into this.
