My truck has soft brake. Replace rear shoes and springs, wheel cylinders, and master cylinder. Improved, but still soft. Any suggestions there?

Also, occasionally at slow speeds (like when pulling into a parking spot) the ABS will kick in, brakes studer and it seems like the truck isn't going to stop. Any suggestions there?

Not sure about ABS. But my old 97 was the same. Everyone kept telling me that there just soft like that. So I stopped messing with it.

My 97 is the same, nothing wrong with the brakes at all and the damn pedal is soft. Very annoying but I deal with it.

All OBS are notorious for a soft brake pedal.
My 95 was like that and my dad's 98 also.

Some people have had great results with swapping to a 2500 booster and steel braided lines.

Forgot what years for the booster. Google can help you find that out.
