Do HD 03-06 parts (hood, grille) fit directly to a regular 99-02 Silvy? Sorry if this has already been posted, I can't find a clear answer anywhere.

I could be wrong but I think I remember reading that the frame horns need to be adjusted to correct the gap, going from 1/2 to 3/4 ton caps you may not have to but keep searching as I'm sure this has been done somewhere on the internet.

Edit: I'm assuming you know that you will also need new front fenders because you didn't list it in the original post.

03-06 1500 & 2500hds are the same sans the top bumper cap. You'd need everything door/windshield forward and you'd need 03-06 frame horns because they're different from your 99-02. Other than the frame horns is bolt on I think.

The way it mounts is a bit different, most just chop off the horns on a newer truck and weld them on.

I'm thinking about getting a custom bumper made. Other than the bumper, all HD parts will fit? I don't want to pay up the ass for the wrong parts... the shipping is a killer!
