I have a 99 ext silverado that is currently laying frame on 4's. I am trying to do as much research ahead of time to avoid rushing around later in the middle of the bodydrop.


My question- Is there any build threads where the body drop was done with them moving the cab back to fill up the bed gap some? And yes I searched and I found one build thread where they boddied the truck and one "how to" section on the streettrucks website. Neither moved the cab back.

I am also preparing to body drop my '05 in coming year and was planning on moving my cab back to close the gap but also gain some tire clearance on the firewall. I was planning for 3/4". Additionally, I am planning to lower my motor about 2" so I don't have to cut out the trans tunnel. If anyone has any input I would also be interested.
