I searched/googled didn't see much. Im wanting to add carpet to my truck. its a work truck package with rubber floor.

My question is do I need to remove the rubber flooring or just lay the carpet over it?

Thanks. I looking/thinking about using some lizard skin sound control in its place and some dyna mat under the head liner. Good or bad idea?

Mine wasn't a work truck but had the rubber mat, a few years after owning it I decided I wanted carpet. I bought a nice stain free one online from a wrecked Silverado SS. I was going to remove the rubber but decided to leave it in and see. The carpet went right over it, and it added an extra layer of insulation and noise barrier.

Was it thick? Did you have any problems getting the sill plates and rear trim to go over the rubber mat and carpet?
