I'm wanting a way to play my iPod on my stock bose head unit in my 04 sierra. What do I need to do?

Thanks but that won't work for me. I'm from Canada and we didn't have xm back in 04 so my truck didn't come with it nor can I make my radio tune to xm. So I don't really have a channel with no sound either. So I'd need an audio jack that will cancel and sound coming for the radio

Alright.. my buddy has the thing you plug into the cig lighter and also into his ipod.. you tune it to some radio station and bang boom it plays your ipod or aux device.. pretty sure u can get it at walmart

Yeah I had one of those too and they don't work that well at all. I want to add something to my truck, not just some cheap accessory that plugs in to my cig lighters

was that the ITRIP? Worked great for a cousin of mine but sucked for me. Don't think they sell it any more. I was told they were hit or miss.

Yeah I've never had luck with them really. I also want something that looks stock or that can be hidden in my console or glove box.

Have you tried coops method? It says xm capable, but also says xm equipped.. are you sure the stereo isn't xm capable? I don't see why they would make a truck differently whether they ship em to canada, cali or mexico..

Well when I press the band button on my radio it only cycles through am and fm. Not xm. And I got nothing behind my glove box.

Wired fm modulator, a Pair of antenna adaptors (GM to reg & regular to GM) and a RCA to 3.5mm plug. Hook it to the antenna behind the hu, acc power and ground, put the 3.5 mm jack where you like. Tune the fm mod to a dead station, tune your radio to it, and it cuts the antenna reception. The only down side is you have to control the ipod on the ipod

yea stereo is xm capable.. it doesnt cycle through xm though... you need to have xm connected in order for it to cycle through i believe

Well how do I do that? Part of the how to is missing. The part where he connects the wires to xm.

My stock radio had a tape deck in it so I just bough one of those old cassette things with an aux cord and that worked for me

Isimple IS77 Problem solved. Installed one in my wifes xterra and it works like a champ.
