Well...had some time on my hands today, $8 in the bank, and the idea of doing something to the truck.... This is what I came up with...

Some sand paper, primer, paint, clear coat, and a black sharpie :crazy:

Sanded down the plastic (too much at first so had to go with a much lighter grit - 400). Taped off the Vortec. Cleaned it up. Primered it. Did about 3 coats of the silver. 2 coats of clear. Pulled the tape off the logo. Used some black sharpie on the black plastic :crazy:. Then 2 more coats of clear over the front where the sharpie is. Then 1 big coat of clear over the whole thing. Came out pretty good IMO

Eh... I dont think so... I have more then enough clearance for them and I definitely like the look. It's a contemplation though...I certainly done want to be replacing much more on it.

All High-Temp engine paint... Should be ok. We will see.

I just dont want to match the handles as things are playing out where it would be unnecessary
