Here's why I ask, I'm in the market for another truck, RCSB with a v8, nbs or nnbs, preferably a nnbs, BUT a cam is in the future for whichever truck I get, and I do not want to pull the heads/valley tray. Thats why I ask.
I believe your best bet would be an NBS so you can avoid the DoD feature altogether. Another option would be more work, but you could also find a high-mile NNBS and a 6.0 L96 or LY6 to build the way you want and then swap it in at your convenience.
