I'm about to install some gauges for my bags fbss. I know on my old truck I ran DOT lines so I just cut it and ran a T push fitting. now I'm running hydraulic lines and don't want to split it. so my question is can I just run a threaded T fitting between bag and air line and use the open port for gauge?

I think I follow what you're asking, on my valves ( ART BigRed ) there is a port on the valve for the gauges. You can just run your line from the valve up to your gauge.

so put the T between the fill valve and line?

T it off after the fill valve if you don't want to tap into your hydraulic line. Mine is setup like this:
[fill valve]-[T fitting with an extra threaded port for 1/4" line for gauge]-[dump valve]

If that makes any sense. Its more of a T fitting with an extra hole that is 1/4" instead of 3/8".
