if its set to "off" can it be removed? with out undoing the battery?

i ask this because im swaping colors from tan to dark charcoal and need to swap that cover...

or with it off can i removed it all together with out any lights and etc?

ill figure out a way to keep that new cover in place if thats the case...

I don't know the answer to this but I do know that improper procedures can trigger the air bag and the potential to cause injury from that is great. I would not take the chance until I knew without a doubt it would not set it off.

from my GMC owners manual

For up to 10 seconds after the ignition is turned off and the battery is disconnected, an airbag can still inflate during improper service. You can be injured if you are close to an airbag when it inflates. Avoid yellow
connectors. They are probably part of the airbag system. Be sure to follow proper service procedures, and make sure the person performing work for you is qualified to do so.

i was able to work on one of the other work trucks no problem... but being mine and all... :lol:

itll probly blow on me...

If you permenantly wanting to hide it, just take out that panel and stash it back in the dash on whichever setting you want it at, then find a new switch, or cover and make it into a toggle switch panel or w/e you prefer..
