How much tranny fluid goes into the transmission? and whats best to use? its an 05 Sierra 2500 DMAX

1. After refill check oil level.
2. Fill no higher then 0.62 inch below plug hole.
3. Fill no higher then 1/4 inch below plug hole.
4. Fill no higher then 0.6-1.6 inch below plug hole.
5. Fill no higher then 0.4 inch below plug hole.
6. Fill no higher then 1/4 inch below plug hole.

Fill Plug.....15 ft-lbs
Drain Plug.....15 ft-lbs
Transfer case NVG246-NP8
Fill Plug.....15 ft-lbs
Drain Plug.....15 ft-lbs

I have found that to properly flush it needs up to 5 gallons of ATF. Some will just be wasted flushing it out. Several of my customers have informed me of this. Its always wise to have more ATF available that what the capacity is because refilling an A/T is not as precise as the engine.
