I am finally getting around to buying some subs and an amp for my 00 suburban. Since it is a suburban space is not a concern. I some old Fosgate HX2 12's and an 801S Fosgate amp in my Super Duty and am happy with that level of bass.

What do you guys suggest? I have been out of the car audio market for a long time. I think I bought the set up above in 2002 and haven't done any research on car audio since.

I have an aftermarket HU and already upgraded the speakers in the doors.

yeah just a normal good ol ported box. make sure its custom built to spec, not one of those generic pieces of junk. a box will make or break a sound system. even really low budget subs can sound decent in a nicely built box.

Will the subs come with some product data on port area? I found on the website how much cubic feet there should be but nothing about port area. What do you mean by "tuned way to high"?

if you go with something from sundown, the preferred vendor for them here can give you some examples of exact what size box, port, and port length is ideal for the sub you go with.
