Ive got a JBL GTQ 190 pushing my fronts and sub. The fronts are each on there own channel and the left speaker will crackle like its blown until you turn the volume up high then it gets clear then it will stay clear once you turn it back down for a little while. I swapped in a known good speaker and same exact thing. Even swapped the HU and same thing.

So is something wrong with the amp? Or ?

try isolating you rca by uplugging all but one and alternating inputs, also switch sides from left to right on the amp, if it goes to the other side it's your amp.

somehow not enough signal is getting threw until the power goes up then its ok. Try swapping rcas, if that doesnt work try cleaning out the gain controls on the amp

Same EXACT thing happen to me with a Memphis Amp... Turned out the amp was going bad...

Try Swapping the Right RCA to the left side... If the Problem still exsits, try swapping the Right Speaker for the Left Speaker... If the Problem still exsists, its the output on the amp...

It still happens when I swap the rcas and speakers.

Amp Out Put is going then... Start Looking around for a replacement or get that once repaired...

Repaired? :rofl2: This thing is so old its probably not worth even considering it.
