i am running 2 12'' JBL subs and a MTX road thunder 200w amp, stock head unit and front and rear factory speakers. i have noticed that sometimes my amp cuts out and the subs still hit but barely, i dont know if it is overheating or not, it is mounted behind my rear seat, all the wires are hooked up right so i dont know what it could be, any advise would help alot

whats the ohm load of the 12s? if they are 4 ohm and you have it bridged, that would be your problem. If not, the amp might just be heading out. Ive replaced alot of those Thunder amps. They arent all that great

That is a pretty weak amp, sometimes when you turn the volume up to high and the amp cant support that power it will cut out, if you turn your engine off, and restart it your amp will reset and run again. My friends car does it alot with 2 12's and a 500 watt amp. your can restart your truck while driving, just put it in neutral before you turn the key.
