Im not an expert at this so please cut me some slack. I ordered some shocks from summit for the rear of my obs that has a 4/6 drop. Unfortunately the new shocks dont have this

so i cant bolt it up at the top


anybody have some for sell? or can let me know were to get them?

also shocks say "explorer" on them, could that mean that summit sent me the wrong ones?

pull it out and put it through the eye of the new ones dude. make sure the part number is what you ordered.

number on the box is correct.... i already tried doin that i dont think its possible

Use a vice and a socket or piece of pipe to press it out. Then press it back in the new shock. Just lube it up good and it will go in.

yea it will fit into the new shock. its just gonna be hard to get it out of the old one and in the new one.
are the shocks you ordered made for your 6" rear drop

yea they are....however I wanna add shackles to go lower but idk if this shock will work for that application

off topic but wat would be better coil springs and spindle combination or LCA'S?

Not to be a smartass, but it depends on who you ask. I got my arms cheap/used, so thats what I used, but I'd do spindles and springs if I did it again.

Some people like coils/spindles and some people like drop arms. Nothing wrong with either setup.

So ride quaility is same with spindles + coil or drop arms? alignment issues?

I think drop arms ride like stock. Spindles and coils are a bit stiffer but it depends on the brand.

My DJM arms ride like stock, real nice . I used the DJM shocks up front, summits in the rear. With the summit rear shocks, I took out my shock extenders and it rode better than with them. The only issue I have with the drop arms is when the suspension cycles, it gains a lot of neg. camber. I'm able to align it to stock specs, but you'll get less camber gain with a spindle/coil setup. The only benefit with more camber gain is under hard cornering, to help the tire stay in contact with the road.

yea i had to take out my shock extenders but now it seems as if the truck drop more with the new shocks.....idk i ordered some 3" DJM drop coils last night so hopefully il get them sometime this week
