Stupid, silly, repeated quesion but fuck me if I can find it in search...and don't give me chit, 'cause it's been a shitty week and I searched for hours...I need a definitive answer..

I know 285's will fit with a crank on my 99 Tahoe (4 door, 4x4, removed air dam)....search established that..BUT..will they fit on STOCK 16 inch aluminum rims? I would use factory until I got the steelies...

Thanks in advance....I am sorry I am not a smart truck guy..but that is what they made these forums for...:shake:

Yes they will fit on the stock rims. I even had 33x12.5 trxus mts on factory rims on my 96 tahoe
Nice....got a line on Cooper Discoverer ATR @ 160 a pop installed......

Hopefully after the grille guard cluster and the exhaust contandrum things will start to flow.....
should have posted a thread like this on FSC

Thats what I have. Well, right now they're on 16x10's but tomorrow morning will be back on my stock wheels
bowhunter i had a 96 2 door tahoe that i ran 285's on stock wheels then 305's on stocks
& then ran 325/60/18 on 18x9 inch rims all without cranking t bars.
it will work fine. But if your gettin the new wheels soon, why not just wait ? save the cost of remounting tires.
wow..... if anything they would fit on stock rims better than aftermarket considering most aftermarket rims have more offset than the stock wheels.....

that was a dumb question IMO

I knew they would FIT THE RIMS - I was worried about the rims not having enough backspacing to fit the tires on the truck....

If the question was that dumb - you needn't waste your time responding...thanks for the help....
