I was on ebay looking for an HD tailcap for my 08 Silverado and saw this one:

Its already smooth so it can be painted, anyone know the part number of the HD tailcap so I can compare prices?

But the factory one is GM Part# 17802389
it was the one JB used to have and a few others have them, if you can find any pictures of it.

i had that 1... doesnt fit.
mine was textured/ but no where near fitting.. imo i could stick my finger under the top edge because the "groove" on tailgate

It's for both I believe. I know that is the part people have put on their Chevy specifically.

no screws just double sided tape
