Got a 14 sierra crew cab. Looking to see if anyone has any input on some good clean sounding subs. From 2-8" to 12"s Not looking for a blow thru in the back. Just a forward facing box if possible or a down fire box. Ive heard the 8" sa v2 sundowns are good. Im Hispanic so I'll be using an epicenter for Mexican music. I can get a box built. Just want to see what would hit hard and clean from anyones experience for a truck.Thanks

What's your budget? SA8v2's need to be ported so take that into consideration.
I have some extra $$$ to play with not like competition money but enough for a good sounding system. had 2 yfz's sold one to invest in the truck. Well I'm sure your more experienced in audio in a truck than I am. What you recommend? I know its hard to do. But not impossible with right set up/ knowledge.
Gotta be honest I've never heard of that brand. Ill look em up look at the specs/reviews. You personally ever had this sub in your vehicle? How did it sound?
Single 8 ported" or would duals work with the limited space?

What about either 2 sa v2 8" or DC audio m 3 8s? I want a good sounding thump I've seen youtube videos on both of those sybs and man do they move with the right set up. There's also kickers l7s or jl audio w6s...

dc audio isnt even in my vocabulary. Have fun of you buy from them, JL is overated and to expensive for what it is and kicker subs are more of a midbass than anything

Never had them in my truck but in the car they were great. they are American made woofers also. They are redesigning the dcon to sound better in sealed and also a more shallow mount. Not sure when they will release new specs. Aaron from SSA told me very soon.

Right on. Well I've been leaning more towards sundowns. So I'll go talk to my audio guy. See what numbers we can come up with on a box then well decide on subs.
Last June I handled one of those DC 8's and literally LOL'd. Look at the number of videos of SA8v2's then that DC 8, you'll notice there aren't many videos of that DC, because people quit buying them after they quit using Sundown's parts (with Sundown on the part).
Also, not much of DC is built in the US, and what is built in the US is a motor made in China with the rest Chinese parts that is assembled here.
This was back with their 1st level 2 8". They came out with them, the parts were seen, their parts were cut off, next run didn't have those parts and their subs broke and sucked and everybody quit buying them. That's why he came out with a tooled basket, to try to sell some because he couldn't otherwise, and they still aren't a big seller.
