i just bought a new 07 silverado Z71 4x4 and i have the auto locking diff in the rear. how does this turn on? do i have to be in 4 low or is it just a limited slip with a fancy name? is their a way to make it selectable if it is a locker?
The G80 behaves as a locker but engages like a limited slip (sensing wheel spin). At speeds under 25mph, it will temporarily lock the axle if the RPM difference in the wheels is too high. It's a purely mechanical item.
