I just bought my 2006 2500 last week. It came with a keyfob but all it did was flash the lights and make the siren go off. Since my truck is a WT so no power anything I knew this had to do more. Took the panel under the dash off and found the C3-RS730 module installed. Now here is where I need help, first they had the orange plug for the 2 stage shock sensor zone 4 ran under the truck to the tailgate and there the wires were cut?? Second when I hit the remote start button the lights turn on, the cel light comes on, I hear the fuel pump kick on and relays click and nothing, no cranking or anything. Any ideas? I've checked all the wiring and it seems to have good connections everywhere

It could be related to the stock security. Put your key in the cylinder but don't turn it and try to start it.

Tried that no luck, I don't think my key has a chip does it? Theres no markings on it

Are you sure the sensors with the wires cut aren't pin switches? I'm wondering if something is related to those cut wires since there are safety things in place so you can't start under certain conditions. Example, my CRX won't remote start if the hood is open.

I'm not familiar with Autopage, but here's what I think. Sounds like the start wire from the remote start isn't connected, or putting out 12V during the start sequence.

If the PasslockII wasn't programmed, it would still crank. ibanender recommended inserting the key into the ignition without turning, but in this truck you need to turn the key to the "on" position for it to start without the passlock II programmed.

If it does crank, and the passlock (padlock icon) on the instrument cluster is flashing, it means the passlock isn't programmed.

The wires being cut for the shock sensor shouldn't affect the remote start.

So on these trucks if the passlockII wasn't programmed it should still at least crank just not start? I've had two shops tell me they thought it wasn't working at all because there was no bypass installed. I will try to see which wire is the start wire and test it for 12v after I push the remote start button

Start wire on the truck at the steering column is a 12gauge yellow. Shows 12V when the key is turned to the start position.

If the passlock isn't programmed, or there's no bypass, then it'll still crank.
