I have the viair 480 dual pack which says it comes with a 165-200 pressure switch. But when my comps shut off my tank gauge only reads 175. Could it be the gauge or my pressure switch.

Did you overtighten the fitting on the back? I did once and it turned the needle as well, so when I had a 175 pressure switch it was reading like 190, so it was off, change the gauge, and it read normal. Maybe its defective.

I don't think I did. I will just order another one and see how that goes.

I had the same issue with the 480 combo back, and we had to order another pressure switch.

when do the compressors kick on? sounds like they sent you a 145-175 switch

Haven't pay attention to that yet. I'll look. Plus it's cheaper to buy another pressure switch so I'll start there.
