B&M Quicksilver Install in '00 Silverado Console?

I've researched and read countless articles about the '03 and later B&M Truck Megashifter console install. Search engines seem to focus mainly on this most favored and popular upgrade....

Anyhow, I've got my mind made up that I'm gonna install a "Quicksilver" in my 2000 Silverado console. Note that my drink/junk tray in the console can only be changed to allow the drink holders be closer to the dash or the console lid.

I'd appreciate any advice/help anyone here can provide with lessons learned.
