Well you do have to make the brackets, and make them WAY beefier than a 1/2 ton. Plus the fact the front doesn't lay without either raising the upper arms or a drop spindle. The first and only time i did an HD, there were no spindles avail. Not sure if the MCG spindles work on HD? Otherwise, its st8 forward like any other bag job

Nope. It was my friends truck. I didn't know he was selling it until I went by his house to pick up some yota parts and I came home with a little more. It's in really good shape other than the paint. I'll fix that as soon as the 72 is done. Sorry to whore

actually its harder than just putting a torsion plate in because there is no meat right there to attach it to. You'd have to build alot before you could put a plate it so that theres something to attach to, besides that its straight forward.

well we did like a 3/5 on the hd with 24s doesnt look low at all
Was about to say nice thread dig, till I realized it was your thread :jester:

Yea 3/5 is not low at all on a HD, about an inch lower than a stock 1500 with shackles. My HD lowered 1/3 was pretty much the height of most leveled up z71s. :rofljest:

This is probably a dumb question, but what about the 2" body raise on the HD? Can you remove that?
Yes/no, it would be the same as doing a body drop on any other truck, with possibly a little less cutting/clearancing of the cab floor if not a Dmax/Allison combo. Cut and weld the body mounts lower on the frame pretty much. Would have to raise the bed floor or do some framework for the bed though. The frame is taller/body mounts welded higher on the frame under the cab, and under the bed the frame is taller, resulting in the 2" body raise. Not the same as a 2" body lift with the lift pucks.
