Bags with a cut thru

I have a 05cc need to really do a cut thru to get the airspace I'll need for my subs. As long as the box stays in front of the wheel wells will I run in to any problems later when I bag the truck? What about if I also do a body drop at the same time? I know if I raise the bed floor that will be an issue.
I just dropped it 4/6 with 22s but I'm already getting info and parts lists to bag it next spring. Just cant go that long without the subs.
Also need pics of cut thru's or links to websites that might help me with box ideas. Thanks

If it is just bagged you will not run into any issues. But if you body drop it you may have to get creative with the box.
Is there any advantages of doing a body drop at the same time you bag the vehicle? Or can the body drop be done at a later time with not much more work? I guess I need to also start doing searches for bodydrop info also don't know that much about the amount of work involved.

Body dropping a vehicle requires alot of work. Your basically cutting out your floor and raising it to whatever desire body drop your going for.
I don't know man i see a pre existing blow thru and trying to body drop being tricky. You move your bed floor up along with the box. The box is now higher than your bed rails and the hole in your cab is way down there. IMO i would bag and body drop it at the same time. Then you can build your box around the truck as needed.

Or you could always bag and body drop it and install your box under the raised bed floor. But then its exposed to a lot of road elements and I don't think thats a good idea either. Its going to be tricky. Who's doing the suspension/audio work?
I can pretty much do all the work myself (except for finale paint). I'm just getting back into trucks. This will be my first airbag install though. Have done plenty of coilover 4 link installs in muscle cars and rockcrawlers.
I just ask alot of questions and do alot of research before I make the first cut on anything the first time...lol

You can never ask enough question's and people on here will be more then happy to help you. Should Make a project thread and start snaping some pic's of the build, it sounds interesting.:rocking:
doing a body drop at the same time as the air bag install will save some time and prolly make the air bag install easier as well.

if you have a crew cab, cant you fit two 12 underneath the rear seats?
i wanted to body drop mine but then i didn't want to give up the bed space for my bed thur so im not gonna bd it

cutting up the bed floor and lifting it means the box has to be shorter and
im running 2-18's as is, so i need as much space as i can for the bed thur

plus a bd on 24's is more work then i want to do

Unless my plan changes I was going to be using 4bucket seats and a cut thru running 4 12s with a custom console that would run front to back and tie into the cut through.

Like said earlier it will be next spring most likely before I bag the truck. Just did'nt want to get real crazy with the speaker box design now if I was going to have start all over next spring. I will definently start a build up thread on the cut through soon. Trying to make up my mind on what brand speakers I want to use and box config. and also looking into buying a hard tonneau.
If your going to run 4 buckets and a center console why not put 4 12's in the console and all your amps under the seats or behind the rear seats on the back wall.
You don't have to body drop the whole truck, you could just do the bed now .. it also will alow more room for a notch and your tires.

So that the bed does not sit lower than the cab (as only one is bodydropped) you will have to run spacers on the bed so it is lined up with the cab. Later when you body drop the cab, take the spacers back off.

Onxy did this to his truck (if I remember correctly) .. here is a pic of his bed

Thats true but with a raised floor you are loosing a ton of the space for your sub box. So what the point of doing a blow thru cause your not gaining much. Your now limiting yourself on size again. Might as well put the subs in the cab and save the trouble.

After giving it alot of thought, I think I will try to keep it inside the cab using a custom center console to run in between the rear buckets. I will not be able to go 4 12s but will go 2 high quality 12s with lots of power to them.
Thanks for all of your opinions/input
