Hey guys I figured I'd start a build thread for my truck. Makes it easier to get ideas and thoughts on things to modify and fix. First off the truck is my dad's. He has given it to me to use as a daily driver and for any other reasons but he does limit what things I can modify. I am very blessed to be given a truck like this without any cost to me so please if i make a comments about anything do not take them in a spoiled or ungrateful way. I know by no means did I earn this truck.

Anyways I'll post up pictures of the truck later this afternoon. Below is a list of current mods and planned mods. Please give me your opinions on the planned mods and other other mods you would recommend. Thanks.

SPECS:
2000 Silverado Extended Cab LS 2WD (1 wheel drive) 4.8L

Current:
-Leveled
-BOSS 22" wheels
-Carbon series tires
-Parrot Asteriod Smart DD Radio
-Pioneer Speakers
-The Detail SS DD dash Conversion
-Neoprene Seat Covers
-Dynomax Exhaust
-HID Heads
-LED driving/front blinker lights
-LED interior
-LED brake/reverse/license plate lights
-FORD Trailer Harness
-ANZO LED 3rd Brake Light

To Do:
-Repaint (coming soon just need to schedule appointment)
-Paint Upper Valance?
-Fuel Pump (purchased, just need the time to install)
-Blisten 5100 (need opinions on this. they worth it with 22s or is that a bad idea?)
-Fix Heater. Heater doesn't seem to work so I'm going to swap A/C controls because i need one with defroster since I added defrosting mirrors
-CEL Light (forgot the code but its for an emissions sensor)
-APC Clear Corners
-Candy Tails (keep black outline but change amber to red)
-Textured Handles with chrome center (not sure where to buy)
-Tows? (I like the function but think they might look dumb)
-Stubby Antenna
-Replace Bumpers (Dented from my mom and previous owner)
-Replace interior switch lights and gauges with white LEDs (I'm afraid this will be very expensive)
-Ditch level for 4" lift with Terras? Yay or Nay?
-Billet Grill?
-Tailgate Handle Reverse Camera

I'd lose those 22's.

That's just not the right style of wheel for a leveled/lifted truck imo.

Truck would look good on some factory SS 20's. Which are a dime a dozen on ebay/craigslist.

this thing would look sick with some chrome rims a little lower to the ground! nice find.
Thank you! I personally would prefer to change the rims but my dad bought them for the truck and at the end of the day it is his truck so I want to be respectful of what he wants also.

Hopefully I can make some progress on the fuel pump this weekend. The transmission was slipping and the truck was making a clattering noise under acceleration so I'll have to address both of those issues also.

the rims don't look bad, I'm just not a fan of the murder look. i like chrome or machine on black trucks.

Changed out the fuel pump. Wow the truck is a completely different animal! Seems dumb but the fuel pump had been week for about 4 years (took 3 cranks to start every time) and was getting 3 engine codes caused by the poor fuel pressure. Runs great now. Sadly though when we removed the bed to change the pump we set the fender on the bumper awkwardly and broke it so it will be getting fixed and repainted soon. Transmission seems to be ok for the time being, not quite sure why the slipping doesn't seem as bad but I'll take it as long as I can.

davey2car: Ya I agree 100% I would have prefered chrome but hey beggars can't be choosers lol!

Personally, the same wheels just in silver or machined would look great, but that's just my opinion. And, I must have missed the heated mirrors for this body style of truck. And I like the tail lights with the black lines in them. Aftermarket I assume.

Ya the wheels aren'aren't my favorite but I'll probably just roll with them for a bit (pun intended). The tail lights are oem from a 2003+ stepside. I liked them better than most aftermarket so I bought those and just put let reverse/brake/and turn lights in them. And the heated mirrors are from a Tahoe. They also have puddle lamps but I can't figure out how to wire those up to the door lights. When I did the would not turn off no matter what.
