Yep, that's a case where a 24" would have looked better overall ... the tires/wheels need to fit the vehicle.
Yup, that's a case of haveing big wheels to to say you did it. Like you said the wheels need to fit, but they also need to complement the vehicle and not be the main focus.

I love all those trucks, i like the trucks or i like the work put into them.

my 89 1-ton is worth less than the suspention i put on her. so why not break out the sawzall and go to town, cant make her work any less than she is already.

so i did plan on bd it to the rockers but i figured this truck is for fun, i own relaiable daily driver so why not go off the wall and lay her out to the doors on 22s upfront, still not sure if i am going with 24s or 22s in the back, im leaning more toward 22s in case i ever wanna turn it into a dually.

everyone thinks i lost my mind but im not worried cause they are right.

We did something pretty interesting with the hood that might draw blood if you get to close and the bedsides are going to be cut up and worked on. for the bedsides everything we (me and my roomate jon) plan on doing are influneced by true old school hot rods.

Hopefully when i finish this truck it will make any greaser smile. its going to be a tribute to hot rods with new school style added in. hope it works out well, if not who cares im having fun doing it.

p.s. the 9 inch BD on the bed starts tommorw...... :devil2:

well the truck has 170,000 miles on it and is very tired, it was a full work horse and it shows, like i said might as well cut everything i see on it up and try to make something for fun

how are you going to do that? I did mine to 7.5" and the stock wheel wells are resting on the bedside lip. Id imagine your are building new bedsides and stuff.....post some pics!

9 inchs brings the top of my inner fender to the top of my bedside. i had no plan too replace my rear setup (yet) but i have to buy new rear bags seeing how my brake drum rubbed a hole inmy drivers side rear bag, it pisses me off cause i have no idea how this happened, i checked over and over and no rubbing and after a year plus with it on it just now rubbed a hole in my bag?
