well i been practicing painting lately. nothing spectacular just painting a old wrecked fender. talk to the painter about how to make candy paint and attempted. nothing spectacular just trying to further my experience. all these are based and midcoat with iwata lph400 lvb and cleared with iwata w400. fucking sick paint guns i love them.
silver base with green kandy 1st time. pretty splotchy u can tell how my pattern wasnt very consistent. i was shooting for lime green lol.

2nd time i did it in copper base with a lime green kandy turned out almost color i wanted but i again spray pattern wasnt very good.

today i sprayed a caddy white diamond. turned out fucking beautiful :imo: no splotches clear layed down nice and flat. prolly will keep the fender and start practicing on another one.

nice work, wish i had a booth to paint in, and a paint gun
right on. i used to do this kinda stuff all the time when i worked in a body shop. awesome way to improve your skills for cheap. you should look around and try and find some odd shaped stuff to paint.
that booth really sucks that i was spraying with but the booth the painter paints in is better...hence the reason that one is so nasty. painters booth is nothing like that. the paint guns i got i love. 800 dollars worth of guns for 325. pretty much the best on the market. i need to rebuild my base gun it leaks a little but still sprayable. rebuild is only 60 bucks tho.

well my first step is to learn how to paint stuff. i went to wyotech so i have a little background but skills are a little rusty. i prime, sand, tape, and trim in parts. and i just dont think trimming in parts is a way to learn how to paint. you pretty much have no way to run it. so right now i just want to paint stuff where if i put to much clear on it is possible to run it. so thats my main goal right now is working with my clear.
Good job. :shake:

I like that 1st "lime green" color.

Shoot some pearl over it. I think it'd look titties.

right on thats where i started to. it sucks becuase you put a ton of time into the prep work than someone else gets to make it all pretty. but hey gotta start somewhere i guess. i wish i could still afford to have that job, it's alot of fun when you get into the painting part of it.
no doubt..i love painting so much. not sure if ima paint the tb black, black and lime green or black with a blue pearl. just not sure yet.
Nice start, lucky you have place to do it.. i've been itching to paint something sense i primered the truck.
I will take that pearl white paint anyday. I love that fucking color. Looks good too. Keep it up.
looks really good, keep it up!
nice job, but pearl white :puke:

white should be pure
you guys might like this. i was looking for a color to paint the tb so i did a black with blue pearl. i want a very subtle change this is a more custom sport truck color i think. mixed it 2 (grams i guess is what our scale measures) of solid blue pearl to 100 grams of clear base. 1st coat i put on regular and second coat i flew over that way i wouldnt put as much on. this was with powder pearl which is a bigger flake then liquid pearl so im going to try liquid pearl tommmorrow maybe. anyways...the pics.
