Hey guys, just wanted to share some info on the STS rear mounted turbo kits. Jerry came down and we dynoed it, this was without any learning as well, once he got home, Louisiana, he said it was even stronger.
This is a 2000 HD 6L, with 5psi,

Stock: [email protected]
[email protected]

STS 5psi: [email protected]
[email protected]

Gain: 128HP/139TQ

These kits are really catching on!

later,

Why is that LQ4 so weak stock??? those 2500 drivetrains must be hogs.

I think parish dynoed his LQ4 stock at 285 rwhp.

haha i wonder if they have a dragging warranty :naughty: i guess i'll just have to stick to my naturally aspirated engine. something will stay stock on this truck. Hell, i even customized my front cup holder

where is the intake on those things? in the rear down low? or is it up front with a tube that runs back to the turbo the back up to the engine? if it is down by the turbo i would be worried about suckin in water if i got into too deep of a puddle :nono:

the only problem with these that i see is coming in contact with water. i really like the numbers ive seen on these, and the idea of where the STS mounts, but im afraid of it sucking something up. that and on a lifted truck, someone could crawl under it, loosen a few bolts, and there goes 4K$.

eek, darn good point, thats kinda scary. i guess dont let people know anything other than its turbo'd and let them think funny things when they see the air filter next to your frame.
too bad there isnt some kinda box you can stick it in that is ported to breathe easy, but lockable and has a snorkel tube to get dry air.

just box it in on all sides where theres a chance of debris passing by

and um, dont drive your truck into lakes, rivers ,and oceans and water shouldnt be a concern. allen posted about a test drive in the test car in the rain with no issues through small puddles.

if it floods. park on a hill. :read:
