I need some suggestions from people that have intakes in their trucks.
I have an 03 Yukon and was thinking of getting an intake for it.

Are these hard to install? Looks kinda simple.
Also, do you notice improvements when driving?

I have a K&N FIPK on my Z...good piece in terms of build quality and how it installs.

Takes maybe an hour to install.

Truck is louder under heavier throttle and WOT, most power gains as with any intake will be from about 3200rpm on up...

K&N are ok.... AEM is also really good ... but I personally prefer Volant over both of them....

volant CAI or custom & efans. i'd do the custom with efans.

check out these links, you can get whatever you need to make your own. you'll need a 4" elbow to the TB, reducer to the 3" MAF unit, cone filter, 4" tube, clamps, etc., heatshield. you could even do a ram air.

If I didn't have my K&N, I'd go with a Volant prolly. I've heard a few negative stuff about the build quality of the UPD.

keep the stock stuff and re-install... i agree a DIY will kill resale value.

but if you dont want a DIY intake, then go with a volant. I love the volant on my truck, and it would be really easy to add a custom ram air to it.

the ram air would also be easy with the k&n all you ahve to do is modify the stock tray bottom and run the ductinf just the same sorry im just biased
