As most of you probably seen, got this bitch like 2 months ago. 08 GMC sierra 1500 SLT loaded out. @120000 miles. Only rust is on the passenger door at the bottom.

Had the front windows tinted to match the back pretty much immediately.

and thats pretty much it. Pic of it all shined up after i washed out the bedsides, rockers, and fluidfilmed it. @12300 miles

Also put a new curt hitch on somewhere in there since the old one was rusty and concerning. No pictar of that tho.

Immediate plans:
-throw on the 1.25” BL sitting in the shed @medik13 (thanks again)
-throw on the 5100s sittin in the shed
-order and throw on the 1.5”? AAL
-new brakes, its got cheapies on it now that throw off dust like mad.
- long tubes. P0420 popped up yesterday so gotta convince the spousal unit i need them to fix the problem.
-Tune from wait4me performance regardless since Jesse is a local buddy and has pretty much tuned everything ive owned.

Future plans:
-new wheels. Waiting on a set of oem 20s off a k2 GMC to pop up on craigslist or marketplace for a decent price.
-probably 285/60 stt pros once i find wheels (no hurry, these duratracs will get me by till winter)
-clear hedlights if i can find some decent quality ones
-front bumper from a later gmt800 when one pops up on CL/marketplace. This ones dented.
-rear fender liners
-fix/replace the crusty door.
-idk what else.

Yeah i been goin back and forth between that and a toolbox. Well see what pops up second hand. Im not a fan of brand new prices for either. Im just cheap.

Started the body lift at 10 got home at like 2am. Havent even touched the bed yet but the cab is done. Spent have that time trying to get the front bumper right. The gap is even now but its huge for some damn reason and the side braces arent even fuckin close to lining up. 10/10 wood not reccomend, an extra 1.25” is not worth the pain in the ass.

This is the only pic i got from tonight. Will get more when it’s done and cleaned up

Also learned more about it while i was doin this, its got the shitty rancho leveling struts so i wont need the 1.5” add a leaf to level it out. Might throw the Bilsteins on tomorrow depending on how much shit this back half gives me and if the front bumper will start cooperating.

Body is lifted. Oldest helped me do the bed and back bumper this morning. Went way smoother than the front. Still haven’t fucked with the front bumper, forgot one of the nephews had a bday party today. Some quick scott quality pics

also i have like 4 extra 1.25” pucks but i need 2 more 1” pucks to put the rearmost bolts back into the hitch. Not sure what the deal is there but i guess it probably wouldnt be a bad idea to make some steel ones at work.

Extra ones are for a crew cab. And the bumper ones don’t support any weight.

Damn crews have 4 extra body mounts? No im talking about where the hitch bolts into the bumper brackets. The very back one of the 3 on the frame.

Picked up a Fold-A-Cover G4 Elite tonneau off craigslist for $150. Had all the hardware and keys only thing is the weatherstripping on the hinges is kinda tore up and it needs a bath.

I like it for the price. Ill probably give the whole thing a bath later when its not so hot and get more pics

Also i got those front bumper brackets sraighted out the other night. I had to kinda “finesse” them a bit but theyre on and everythings sraight. The bumper/cap gap seems normal from the pics ive seen so im gonna roll with it.

Good to see that truck again! I know Spencer regretted selling it right after. Full CM really cleans up the lines of the nnbs front end.



I know, it popped up on the recommended reading when i was looking at one of your threads and im always lookin for nnbs threads i havent seen before. Those preds he test fitted looked sooo perfect on there.

Worsht it and went over it with some chem guys banana wax. Found a couple new little scratches i need to work out.

Also got around to making some spacers to get the hitch all the way bolted back on.

Had to cut the ranchos apart to get the spring seat off. They were shot as fuck anyway

Thats fuckin sexy but Im scared to pull any more moldings/ badges after pulling the z71 off lol. I may or may not have some paint to start color matching things though. Clears probably wont happen. The last set i bought were trashed after a year and klearz doesnt make the lenses for these anymore.
