Progression of blacking out my 2010 Sierra.
Started back in Jan 2014
lift day. 6"
Powder coated rear bumper caps. To remove the caps, you have to drill out the factory rivets. I then used stainless button head cap screws to secure the new ones. The rivets on the very outside must be ground off, you cannot get at them with a drill.
New Grill. Took a good bit of searching for this. Finding that top trim piece that was not flat black. PITA
New bumper back from powder coat. Got this on eBay, but it was a flat black, which looked like ass....
all tore up...
installed this behind the bumper while I had it all apart. LOUD :signs6:
Home stretch now....
If you've been wondering what the NC on my plates means, I program large NC (Numeric Control) machines, like this http://youtu.be/RnIvhlKT7SY
Katzkin leather seat covers. Got these on eBay as well. $540 nib. You can do this job yourself, its not that bad. Just use a vacuum cleaner to suck the air out of the headrests, and compress them, there is a plastic bag inside from the factory. Makes it easy to remove/install the rest covers.
I'm up in the air about keeping a spare in the bed.... it's a PITA when you need to use the whole bed.
Next I want to machine a plate out of translucent Lexan to go between the grill and emblem, fill it with LED's so it glows. Make that GMC POP!
cheers
